Interview with Stone Throw Records Founder: PB Wolf

Launched in 1996, Stones Throw Records has become synonymous with the independent hip-hop community that lives underground, yet infiltrates popular music through sheer, undeniable artistry. With artists like Madlib, J Dilla, MF Doom, Dam-Funk, and Aloe Blacc among numerous others the label has grown in size and influence.

Chris Manak (aka Peanut Butter Wolf) launched his journey as founder of Stones Throw in part to honor the music he and his friend and partner Charizma, who was later murdered, made together. Manak stayed committed to the music and has successfully transformed his lifelong passion for music into his own record label and following. Stonesthrow is consistently on the brink of innovation in terms of both music and business. Check out our interview as he discusses what it takes to bring your dreams into reality.
